We are excited to welcome GitHub as the Hack24 Lounge Sponsor!

GitHub is how people build software. Millions of individuals and organizations around the world use GitHub to discover, share, and collaborate on software — from games and experiments to popular frameworks and leading applications. Together, they're defining how software is built today.

Whether you use GitHub.com or GitHub Enterprise on your own servers, you can access one of the world's largest developer communities to build software in the way that works best for you. Choose your deployment option and integrate your favourite third party tools into a powerful, collaborative workflow.

The Hack24 Lounge

Community building is at the heart of everything we do and this makes the breaks from the hacking at Hack24 just as important as the competition itself. We're so pleased to have GitHub aboard as our Lounge Sponsor, sharing in this philosophy and making it happen.

The lounge will be full of comfy sofas, soft blankets, squishy cushions, board games, a TV, a PS4 complete with Playstation VR and much more, to make your breaks from hacking super fun and relaxing.

Octocat Drawing Competition

There will be an Octocat drawing competition again at Hack24 this year! We’ll provide you with all the details on the day, but you can get your thinking caps on now. Last year’s winner was James Hodgson with this awesome Andrew-as-a-gameshow-host Octocat!

Hack24 is a wonderful event, representing what makes the Nottingham tech community so special. GitHub Education is sponsoring the lounge to give that community a place to mingle and grow - come join us to meet your fellow hackers, relax those typing hands, and of course, top up your Octocat collection.
