We are delighted to announce that Cronofy loved the inaugural Hack24 so much that they are back again supporting Hack24 2016 as our Headline Sponsor!

Founded in 2013 by Adam Bird and Garry Shutler, Cronofy provides a unified calendar API to allow application developers to integrate their apps and services with Google, Apple, Exchange and many other calendar services. With Cronofy, developers don’t have to worry which calendar service their customers have chosen. They can just focus on leveraging the rich, two-way calendar interaction provided to augment their service and embed their offering deep within their customers’ lives.

Cronofy put forward a challenge for hackers last year and plan to do the same this year, which we know will be awesome and probably definitely include a gif or two. We’ll have more details on that very soon. Last year’s winners of the Cronofy challenge were Team Big Button, whose hack revolved around their big button which cost less than £5, attached to an Arduino, and encasing a strip of NeoPixels!

We look forward to Cronofy bringing its energy, enthusiasm and technical know-how to Hack24 - Cronofy is a real Nottingham success story and is exactly what Hack24 is here to celebrate.

And just why has Cronofy chosen to sponsor Hack24 for the second year running?

We’re delighted to be back sponsoring such a high profile event that showcases Nottingham’s talent on a national stage. The fact that the tickets sell out in minutes highlights how popular Hack24 is and how important it is to the community.

The success of Hack24 is symptomatic of a vibrant and engaged tech scene that we feel proud to be part of. Taking on the role of headline sponsor allows us to demonstrate our commitment to the city and be close to developers operating at the vanguard of today’s technologies.

We’re expecting epic hacks and we know we’re not going to be disappointed.
